BMI Is A Crock

How big a crock?  The following are the world's 10 fittest male athletes as of July 2012.  Every one of them is fat or obese, according to current BMI standards.

Rich Froning BMI = 28

Matt Chan BMI = 30 (obese)

Kyle Kasperbauer BMI = 28

Scott Panchik BMI = 28

Jason Khalipa BMI = 31 (obese)

Dan Bailey BMI = 27

Marcus Hendren BMI = 29

Austin Malleolo BMI = 29

Chad Mackay BMI = 31 (obese)

Graham Holmberg BMI = 26
Given what all these men can do, is there any chance - at all - that any of them are "overweight", or "obese"?
The question answers itself, doesn't it?
So then, if BMI can be so obviously, pathetically inadequate at predicting obesity (which is its purpose); why use it at all?
There is no such thing as an "ideal weight", or "ideal BMI".  Focus on performace - as opposed to appearance - and you'll avoid a lot frustration and get better results.
