This is a fast, fun bike with a riding position and general character reminiscent of something a London messenger might ride. It has been optimized for dashing around cities and blasts through the countryside. Viewed like that—rather than a bike for someone who isn't quite ready to commit to a superbike—the Ninja's appeal becomes very clear. If more people bought motorcycles with their brains rather than their hearts, Kawasaki would sell plenty of these.I also think it's a great bike. It's a sport bike for people who are more realistic about how they use their sport bikes. Unfortunately, its gas mileage was pretty lack-luster, especially for a sport-touring bike. Supposedly, Kawasaki fixed that problem with a taller 6th gear. I suppose we'll see.
